St Ives Elements Microdermabrasion.

To have a great base for make up you need to keep your skin in tip top condition. One of my top tips is to exfoliate your face with a gentle exfoliant every day. This takes away dead skin cells and cleans away any left over make up that your cleanser may have left behind. Im a huge fan of finly milled exfoliaters that really clean your skin but are gentle enough to use every single day. I love St Ives and when I saw they had a new product out I had to give it a try.

This is my second bottle of the Elements microdermabrasion face scrub. It is well used as you can tell by the photo! The packaging has been changed since I purchased this bottle.  Microdermabrasion is a beauty treatment that many people have at either a specialist salon or a cosmetic surgery. It is a way of removing the top layer of the dead skin cells. It is sometimes called an instant facelift giving user the appearance of younger looking skin. This feature is somewhat lost on me being 22 and definitely not needing a face lift,  but it does leave your skin with a glow and feeling much smoother.

It is a fine milled product and the exfoliants are really small. It doesn't feel gritty on your skin when you are using it. I use this every night and really give my face a good scrubbing with it. It is really gentle and doesn't feel as if I am scraping my skin off as I've found can happen with some other facial scrubs.

Once I've rinsed off my skin has a really nice clean glow and feel invigorated. It has helped improve the general texture and look of my skin. It also doesn't cause any breakouts for me and is fine with my oily skin. It also doesn't have an unpleasant smell. The texture of the product is nice as well. In your fingers you can feel the mineral crystals but they aren't so big you can see them. The great thing is a little really goes along way. A tiny amount on your fingers is enough to cover your face and down your neck. Even using such a small amount still gives you a feeling of having a good clean.

You can pick this one up in your local Asda stores for £3. Its quite a steal!

I love all the St Ives scrubs their apricot ones are amazing!

Do you use any facial scrubs? What ones? Have you tried this one? Let me know!

xoxo - Lizzy
