MUA Gel liners.

I'm a huge gel liner fan and an equally big fan of MUA, So when my local superdrug finally got their gel liners in I had to grab 2. They do these in 4 colours but I hardly wear brown liner eventhough i have been meaning to and blue just doesn't work on me. So I grabbed Fairground and Underground which are black and gunmetal coloured.

I love these, they're highly pigmented and the formula is perfect for creating defined lines around your eyes. The formula is more creamy than other gel liners, but that;s great means its so much easier to work with. They glide onto the skin really easy and create a nice solid line with one sweep.

 The thing I love doing with this is applying either underground or fair ground onto my eyes and setting with either the black or the gun metal shades from the Undressed palette to create a really strong coloured look.

You can see from the swatches that they are highly pigmented. Also once these are on they don't budge, after swatching these I was there ages with a make up wipe trying to remove them. I had to use my eye make up remover in the end. This is the same when you wear them, they last all day. No budging, cracking or smudging.

My absolute favorite part of these is the brush. The brush is hidden in the lid and can either be used alone or be placed into the lid to create a longer handled brush. The brush is perfectly weighted and a great size to create definition.

Rimmel Match Perfection foundation

Foundation the starting point of all make up looks. I, myself love a choice each morning. I'm also loving how foundations are now getting better shade ranges and you can find a much closer match to your skin tone. So when I saw the advert for Rimmels new Match Perfection foundation I was a little skeptical I'm not the biggest fan of Rimmel foundations. My sister has the wake me up foundation and it just didn't do anything for me. So when I saw a sample sheet with a few shades in I thought I'd have a look see what I think after all the shades were free and gave me a chance to see the formula. I found a perfect match and decided to grab the full size.

I have the very lightest which is shade 010 Light porcelain. The range has 11 shades so you should find one perfect for you. This foundation blends beautifully into the skin.

I've been wearing this a fair amount over the last few weeks. It's not normally what I go for. Its a liquid foundation and I prefer thicker more creamy bases. As long as I use a matte primer on my trouble areas this doesn't cause me and problems.

I love that there's no tell tell lines the foundations blends seamlessly into the skin. I buff it in with a brush and really work it in.  

Its a pump actioned bottle so you get a measured dose when dispensing it. I find 2 pumps is enough to get a medium coverage across my face and neck. This also lasts all day and doesn't move. It leaves a nice glow to the skin I always feel as though I look more fresh and radiant wearing this. 

Its a really nice light formula, doesn't feel to heavy or clogging on your skin. Over the course of the day this doesn't dry my skin out or end up with annoying patches (Unless my puppy licks my cheeks, shes a bit partial to the taste of make up!) The only thing I dislike is the smell. I'm not keen on the smell of any Rimmel foundation but I overlook this as the actual product is good.

Mallzee

Bored with online shopping but get annoyed going to the shops? Well later this year Mallzee will be launching which is the end of all this!

Basically Mallzee is a site where you can create your own personal shopping mall. You choose the shops you like and Mallzee finds products you might like from your tastes. You can still be social on this by getting your friends involved. You can chat with them and gather opinions of products with an opinon poll.Much easier than having to Facebook or email links to friends to get their opinions. Its like the perfect mall everything is tailored to you! They make shopping fun.

I love this idea! An online department store just with the stores I like! I get so frustrated shopping, I don't have much patience so queueing is not fun for me. I'm always so busy so finding time to go shopping is a nightmare especially with friends who are equally as busy as me! So I do prefer buying things online.

Little extra while shopping online with Mallzee you can earn money! You get paid when shopping with them and if people shop in your mall you get paid! You can use this money in Mallzee or you can donate it to a charity.

17 Miracle Matte Primer

I'm always on a quest to keep my skin pretty shine free. No matter what complexion product in if it has a promise of a matte finish I grab it! So obviously my eyes were drawn to 17's Miracle Matte Primer.

With a promise of 22 hours shine free how could I resist! So I grabbed one. At only £4.99 for 15ml would be rude not to! The product comes in a squeezy bottle quite like an ointment bottle. A really small pointy applicator. Its easy to dispense.

The primer itself is a thick white cream. Once blended in it does go translucent. I do find it really hard to blend in it isn't very fluid. It gores quite dry. Also a little doesn't go along way! I did use to use my fingers but now I blend it with a foundation brush to get a real even finish. Doing this it doesn't dry or need as much work to blend in. Saying that the effect it has out weights that one bad point. I'm not sure if it does last 22 hours I never have my make up on that long, but it does last all day and give a nice even matte finish to my skin. It obviously works best with 17s Miracle matte foundation but I find it does the same job with any foundation I use. You don't have to use this all over the face, you can just apply it only onto your problem areas.

My foundation stays put all day and my skin stays shine free till I take off my make up. Normally around 9 - 12 hours. My skin doesn't feel dry after using it not have I noticed anything that's made me want to stop using it.

MUA Make up brushes

Im a massive fan of MUA and was so excited when I saw they were planning some make up brushes. So as soon as they released them I had to grab a few. I was a little wary make up brushes from £1.50 they had to be too good to be true. So just to try them out to see quality and how well they apply. They are all synthetic and cruelty free, which is right up my street. The thought of animal hair brushes freaks me out a bit so I just don't buy them

I chose F6 which is a an angled blusher and contouring brush, E1 which is a base shadow brush, E2 which is an eyeshadow contour brush and E3 which is a blending a shadow brush.

F6 MUA brush £3

F6 - This an angled brush for blusher or contouring. The bristles on this are so soft and this also picks up a perfect amount of product to gently build up colour on your cheeks. I have used this for both blush and contouring and found for contouring its second to none it sits perfectly in the hollow of my cheeks. This brush would work really well with a two toned contour and highlight product due to the size. I've used this a fair few times since receiving it and haven't seen any shedding. I've spot washed it and its washed perfectly fine as well, but I'll update this when I've washed this properly. £3

E1 Brush £1.95

E1 - This eyeshadow brush is a standard lay down brush with a 'c' shape. Its a nice size for applying colour to the lids. Its about the size of the brush in Urban Decays original Naked palette. The bristles are firm without being stiff. It picks up colour beautifully. I've used this brush with both mattes and glitters and both were applied beautifully. £1.95

E2 brush £1.95

E2 - This is an eyeshadow contour brush which I've never had in my brush collection before now. I was a bit unsure as to use it but discovered its great to apply colour to the crease. It creates beautiful contours on the eyes, it also applies colour to the outer corners beautifully. I did this morning in my rush to get out the door turn it on its side and use it to apply colour all over my lid, I found that with one sweep I could apply colour evenly over my entire lid. The bristles are super soft and move nicely. They are firm but not overly firm that their stiff. They hold their shape when applying shadows. £1.95

E3 brush £1.95

E3 - This is a blending brush much like the MAC 217 brush. This blends harsh shadow lines like a dream. It isn't scratchy or rough on the eyes. I have used this clean just to blend and I've also used it with a shadow on and this works amazingly well both ways. The bristles are like the others super soft and this one has firmer bristles than the other eye shadow brushes. £1.95

These brushes are perfectly weighted and sit nicely in your hands when you're working with them. The brush design is sleek and they look nice and professional.

These brushes are incredible for the price and they definitley feel much more expensive they are being sold for. MUA could easily charge more for these. The quality is comparable to higher end brushes. I am going to be ordering some more of they brushes as you can never have enough eyeshadow brushes! and also a few of the others.

The only downside is these are online only and aren't going into Superdrug stores. But for the price of them and the quality I'm not going to moan about having to order these online and wait for the postie to pop them through my door!

MAC Lightscapade

I love high lighting my face and making features pop. I've always had difficulty finding a nice one I don't really get on with liquid ones. I've always been intrigued by this MAC's lightscapade but they discontinued it and trying to find one was a nightmare not to mention prices were sky high! Every one wanted to get their hands on this. So when I discovered it had gone back on sale I was so excited and just had to have it! I was brought this for my birthday. Boyfriend got it right again!

I love this! Its lovely and almost ivory not quite champagne coloured. The one I have as you can see isn't all that blue. Which is great, I was warned by a friend that some of them are quite bluey in colour. 

Its a nice subtle high lighter and looks great oround the cheek bones and brow bones area. It gives my skin a really nice glow. This also catches the light beautifully.

MAC Lightscapade £21.50

I love the packaging this is in. It stands out in my box. As this is my only individual powder high lighter its in with my blushes so against all my others this stands out even though it has a more basic packaging.

This is one of their Mineralize skin finishes. I do own soft and gentle and love that as a high lighter too. To apply Lightscapade I use Real Techniques setting brush, This is because it is big enough to cover the places you want to high light but small enough to have a great amount of control over where you apply the product.   But this is just amazing. I have seen a few bloggers speak about the difference in veining between this and the original, I never had an original or got to a MAC store when it was available so I have no idea about any comparisons.

The only thing I have similar to this is Benefits Watts up, but that is a cream high lighter, but the colours are quite similar. I do like to layer this over Watts up, this does a give an ultra high lighted look. But I'll talk more about that product later.

This is super pretty and looks amazing on. Im fairly pale as is my sister and I've used it on her with great results and we're both cool toned. My other sister is warmer toned than me but I've yet to talk her around to letting me trial it on her so I'm not sure how it looks on darker/warmer skin tones.
