Benefit Fake Up.

I love Benefit face products. I am obsessed with Boi-ing so when ever they bring out another concealer I have to grab one and have a try out.

As ever with Benefit the packaging is adorable! Has a gorgeous vintage feel to it. The product itself comes in a lipstick form so this is great for travel and storage. Also means applying the product is even easier. You can just pop it on and blend with a finger. Pretty fuss free!

I picked up Fake up a little while ago and have been using it a fair amount since getting it. It isn't as heavy duty as boi-ing so I do switch between the two depending on what foundation I'm using and the level of coverage I want. I would say it's not good at hiding really dark circles. If you sleep pretty well and your eye area is quite light this will work. But I find sometimes after a terrible nights sleep (boyfriend is a serious snorer and I'm a pretty bad sleeper) Fake Up just won't cut it.

Benefit claim this is hydrating and crease proof. Hydrating it certainly is! I have quite oily skin so I was pretty worried about that. It doesn't slide off or leave greasy residue . When Fake Up is blended it does set with a satin sort of feel. I put a small amount of powder over just to ensure it stays.
Fake Up swatched unblended
Because of my oily eye areas I have a huge problem with creasing. Benefit claim this has crease control. I would say it is to a point. 5/6 hours worth of wear and it starts to crease, but this is a fair amount of wear for me. The packaging makes it easy for you to apply a little more and blend out. It also doesn't sit in lines around the eyes.

Fake Up Blended
I do find where this has a concealer core with a hydrating gel around the outside the actual product does get quite messy. The concealer part does bleed into the gel. This is only really an issue if like me you're a bit ocd with how clean your make up is.

It's light weight and when blended is virtually undetectable. It comes in three shades: Light, Medium and Dark

You can pick one up from selected Boots, Debenhams and stand alone Benefit stores for £18.50  You can get one online Here!.

Have you used Fake Up? Whats your favorite concealer? Let me know!

Benefit Fine One One

I'm a lover of Benefit and a lover of cream blushers so when I saw Benefit where launching Fine One One I knew this was a product I had to have!

So Today I picked one up on my trip to town and I was not disappointed!

Benefit Fine One One

First of all I'm not normally a lover of packaging and usually throw it all away but the box for this is beautiful. It's very art deco and reminds me of advertising from the 1920's.

Fine One One is a stick cream blush with a twist bottom to push the product up. In a beautiful dusky rose mirrored tube.

The blush itself is made up of three colours:
- Pink champagne - An illuminating highlighter
- Sheer watermelon - A pinky colour
- Soft Coral - A soft peach

The product itself is about 2 inches long and is the perfect size for applying straight to your cheeks. With Fine One One it is easy to handle. It fits into the palm of your hand with ease.

Its perfectly sized to pop into your handbag so you can use it on the go.

Swatched from the tube

Applying the product couldn't be simpler, you just glide he product from the apples of your cheek up to your temples. With the pick champagne colour on top of the cheek an d the soft coral at the bottom. Then blend in with your fingers. I have tried blending with a stippling brush but I personally prefer the results when its blended in with my fingers. Which is the only downside to the product for me as I have huge issues with using my fingers when doing my make up.

blended with fingers.

Fine One One looks beautiful once its on, it leaves the skin with a beautiful pop of colour and creates instant shape to your cheeks. The colour is quite sheer but you can build it up. The main thing I love is some cream blushes I've used I've found them to be a bit greasy looking, Fine One One is very matte with a slight sheen to it. It blends into a powder.

You can also use this on your lips which is a bonus. The watermelon makes a beautiful lip colour.

In all I do love this and think it is a product I wont regret purchasing. For £23.50 it is a little steep but I personally find that blushes last much longer than any other make up products (except lipsticks they go on forever!) so I don't mind splurging a little on them. For your money you get 8 grams of product, which is about average for a Benefit blush.

You can purchase Benefit from most Debenhams, House of Fraser and selected Boots beauty halls. Or you can pick on up on line Here

Have you used Fine One One? What do you think? What cream blushes do you like? Let me know!

2) Beauty blender. I've gone off using sponges lately, but have seen so much hype about thes little sponges that I can't help but be curious. I've noticed that the price varies so much on these so you can find them in most high street drug stores starting at around £4.

3) Mac Diva, I love a dark lip look. Since changing my hair colour I've noticed darker colours suit me a lot more. This is the perfect red wine colour lip stick. Which I can never seem to find on the high street.

4) OPI The Living Daylights. This is from the James Bond collection and I am a sucker for a glitter polish. This one contains large pieces of multi coloured glitter which look beautiful layered over any colour. I love chunky glitter over pastle shades. £11 available online or at selected Sallys Beauty stores.

Winter Wants

With so many great products out there obviously theres loads I want to get my hands on! So here's my top 6 Winter Wants.

Clockwise from top

1) Mac Lightscapade. This has been on my want list for ages but its always been out of stock. Its the perfect highlighter colour and being a MAC mineralize skin finish I know these powders are beautiful I have soft and gentle and its amazing. This would be perfect for cute winter highlighting

2) Sleek Snapshots palette. I've recently discovered Sleek and how awesome their eye shadows are. I looked at the palette and loved the colours instantly. There's a really nice mix of colours that would create a fair few beautiful looks. The mix of mattes an shimmers is a bonus to. I love Sleeks matte colours and think their fab. So this would be used an awful lot!

3) Real Techniques powder brush. My powder brush is getting a little tatty and I love Real Techniques brushes. The powder brush looks perfect. It looks a great size to get a good even coverage and keep good control of the brush.

4) Nars Multiple Bronzer. I love bronzers but am yet to play with a cream bronzer. I've heard so many good things about this one and love other Nars products This would make for beautiful contouring and to give my skin a nice glow this winter.

5) Benefit Hervana blush. I'm obsessed with Benefits box o powders. I have 4 and this one looks gorgeous with the swirls of colour. Each swirl will give you a slightly different effect which I love! I love girly blushes and this looks to be the girliest of them all. Im also intrigued to try the new brush that comes with Hervana. Its angled to give a contoured effect.

6) Philosophy. The present. I love philosophy, No one really compares in terms of skin care. The Present is a make up primer. Which claims to minimise pores. My pores are always open and are on the big side, so I'm always trying new products to try to hide them. This is the next one on my list to try out and see if it holds up.

Those are my winter wants, what are yours? Let me know!

Cha Cha Tint Benefit

Benefit products are go to for me. I love the design the smells and how great the products are. I've been debating with myself whether or not I want to purchase the Cha Cha tint. I'm not a huge fan of tints and find them a bit awkward to use so I didn't want to spend the cash on a bottle for me to hate it. So when I saw that Instyle were giving away mini tints with their November issue I had to search for the cha cha tint!

The sample size is 4 ml which is enough to try a fair few times and get a feel for the product.  Cha Cha tint is a gorgeous mango coloured cream tint. Its not a watery one that you need to layer up a few times to get a good colour pay off. With one dip you can cover a cheek or a mouth.

I love this as a lip tint, its opaque enough to give a full lipstick coverage and can be sheer enough to give just a tinge of colour. Im not to crazy about it as a cheek tint, I find its quite hard to blend as it dries so fast,. You really need to work fast with it. If I blend out with my fingers I can get a better look and find I don't leave those tell tell lines where the tint has started to dry in the position I've applied it. I did try to blend in with a brush and it did work but when the product had dried you could see a darker patch where the product had sat for a few seconds.

You used any good tints? Let me know

xoxo - Lizzy
