17 Miracle Matte Primer

I'm always on a quest to keep my skin pretty shine free. No matter what complexion product in if it has a promise of a matte finish I grab it! So obviously my eyes were drawn to 17's Miracle Matte Primer.

With a promise of 22 hours shine free how could I resist! So I grabbed one. At only £4.99 for 15ml would be rude not to! The product comes in a squeezy bottle quite like an ointment bottle. A really small pointy applicator. Its easy to dispense.

The primer itself is a thick white cream. Once blended in it does go translucent. I do find it really hard to blend in it isn't very fluid. It gores quite dry. Also a little doesn't go along way! I did use to use my fingers but now I blend it with a foundation brush to get a real even finish. Doing this it doesn't dry or need as much work to blend in. Saying that the effect it has out weights that one bad point. I'm not sure if it does last 22 hours I never have my make up on that long, but it does last all day and give a nice even matte finish to my skin. It obviously works best with 17s Miracle matte foundation but I find it does the same job with any foundation I use. You don't have to use this all over the face, you can just apply it only onto your problem areas.

My foundation stays put all day and my skin stays shine free till I take off my make up. Normally around 9 - 12 hours. My skin doesn't feel dry after using it not have I noticed anything that's made me want to stop using it.

You can buy this at selected Boots stores or online Here for £4.99

Have you used this? DO you recommend a matte primer? Let me know!

17 Miracle Matte Foundation.

I'm always on the lookout for matte foundations, I'm a huge Dream Matte Mousse fan but I've been trying to find a great liquid foundation. I've tried just about every matte foundation and for whatever reason I've disliked it. I noticed Boots 17 range had Miracle matte foundation so I decided to give it a try. 17 used to have a great mousse foundation which I loved so I did have high hopes for this one.

Miracle Matte foundation £5.99

I chose porcelain which is one of the lightest colours. The bottle is pump actioned and gives a measured dose. I find 2 pumps is enough to get a good even coverage on my whole face and neck with a little left over for places I want more coverage. To apply this I use my real techniques stippling brush and buff it right into the skin. The formula does blend really well and the shade I picked was perfect for my skin.

The coverage is great not too full but more a natural look.It lasts all day without going  patchy or sinking into the pores. I've also found it doesn't slide off and does stay put. So it does live up to its claim of lasting 16 hours. I haven't found it to be cakey and I don't look as if I'm wearing alot of make up with this.

This foundation is also reasonably priced at £5.99. You can purchase one Here

I think I'll be picking up the miracle matte primer and see how that works.

Are you a fan of 17? Any of their products I should try? Let me know

17 Falsifeye

Im a mascara junkie, trying to find that perfect one is a hard task. So whenever I see a new mascara I'm drawn to it and have to purchase. While checking out Southampton's new Boots beauty hall I came across 17 falsifeye mascara.
£6.49 boots

17 isn't a brand I normally use but in an effort to be a bit more diverse and less snobby I decided to give it a go. I picked up blackest black as there's nothing more glam than a pitch black super dark lash.

The mascara is meant to give you a false lash effect. With a bit of curling from my trustee eye lash curlers this does just that! I love this mascara. It makes my lashes nice and thick without being clumpy and makes them intensely dark. It also lengthens them and gives good definition.

The brush is huge and a bristle brush. Which is great because at the moment it seems to be those plastic bristles or a comb instead of an actual brush. The bristles are perfectly spaced for picking up each lash and giving a good even coat of mascara on each lash. I find that two coats is enough to get a great effect. The bristles are also unevenly sized so they pick up even the smallest of lashes.

This is going to a favorite mascara for a little while I think! I don't think I'm going to find something just as good!

What mascaras do you use? Do you prefer bristles or comb brushes? Let me know
